VOLTRON YEAR ONE #5 by Brandon Thomas (story), myself (pencils/inks), Adriano Lucas (colors), and Simon Bowland (letters) was released last week and is the penultimate issue of the series with a LOT going on, so I hope those who picked it up enjoyed it!

This is a pretty fun issue with a LOT going on, so I hope you all enjoy it! We got Space-Vegas (Spagas? Vegaspace?), the main team teaming with another Space Explorer team, this giant 4-armed pimp, Sven half-naked for the first few pages, and a bunch of other stuff!

The pages I thought turned out the best are about halfway through the issue. Although I was fairly satisfied by some of the Pidge stuff in the first part of the book. Great work by the creative team, Brandon Thomas (writer), Adriano Lucas (Colorist - Love him!), and Simon Bowland (Letterer).

The very first Voltron Year One pieces I did when I was putting together samples for the job. I was originally trying out for colors as well so I was doing a different, more open line-art style, but I’m glad we got the amazing colorist we have on the book instead while I focus more on penciling and inking. There are other samples I did but they are AWFUL. So you’ll never see them.

Voltron Year One Issue 1, Page 14 Inks as well as pencils for those interested. The backgrounds are usually more rough than this to save time. As long as the end product looks okay, then it’s all good.
Issue 2 is out next wednesday, May 2nd!
